Lake Day

Summer is coming to an end! Well not yet. But so soon. Way sooner than we're ready. We don't wanna go back to real life. So we're soaking it all up.

Well except Brad who is apparently hiding from the sun on the beach.

The kids didn't waste any time getting in the water.

Preston made his way out to the dock.

Obviously my kids are crazy.  The water was not warm yet.  No really. But away they went.

Don't they look cute together though.

When they aren't fighting they are just the cutest together.

My little beach girl.

Could she be any freaking cuter.  I mean come on.

Hey guys can you stand together and smile?  For Mommy? Please?

She thinks she's so brave.  Racing into the water without her puddle jumper.  Crazy girl.

Where's my girl?

There she is!

Hey Brad smile.

Don't even get me started on his hat.  He loves it.  I do not.  But I'll pretend.  Or at least stop laughing when he insists on wearing it.

Vey girl.

Preston did some hunting for fish.  Or looking at least.  Me, I want nothing to do with seeing the fish in the lake.  I prefer to pretend they actually don't live there.  The lake is just for swimming.  Preston he wants to know what's in there and see it.

Probably because he's practically a fish himself.  Kid loves the water.

He's such a good big cousin.  Always taking care of the littles.  Watching out for them.  Putting sand in their hair when they aren't looking.

One photo.  All three of them.  Smiling.  That's all I asked for.  Not a whole lot.  Or is it.

And then they all went back to doing their own thing.  Preston in the water.  The girls played in the sand.

We really did have a great day.  The sun was shining.  We hung out on the beach all day.  Preston even ran into a friend from school.  It was a good day.  And summer isn't over.  We still have two weeks to fill!
