Easter 2016

Easter was exciting this year! The kids were both big enough that they got it and were super excited.

We started the day with Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny!  There was excitement!

Then a little mini Easter hunt around the house.

We lounged for the rest of the morning and some of the afternoon.  A movie.  I made an appetizer for later.  Debated whether or not my pjs were Easter dinner appropriate.

When we were finally all dressed we loaded up and headed to my Uncle Tony and Aunt Kristin's house for family Easter dinner.

And the kid Easter egg hunt!  It was the highlight of the afternoon for the little people!

There were so many eggs.  So many.  It took the kids forever and several full baskets to collect them all.  All Preston wanted was a golden egg with money.  So of course he didn't get one.  Olivia did.  And Mason got like five.  Poor kid.

Miss Olivia, always ready to smile for me!

My two favorite littles!

My Grandpa.  When I ask him to smile.

Look how cute these littles are!

Uncle Matt teaching Preston how to play chess!

My family.  Minus a couple.  I kind of love these people!

The cousins.

Olivia found Alyse's hammock in her bedroom and thought it was the best thing ever.

All that partying wore our girl out.

Happy Easter!  Hope your bellies were full and your hearts were happy.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

One of our favorite Easter traditions is our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. In the dark. With a flashlight. What's not to love about that? The kids go crazy for it. It's so much fun!

Liv heads to the playground where the eggs are just all over the place. Perfect for the little kids.  She was excited to race around filling her bucket.

Preston was on the big kid side.  In the dirt and trees at the other side of the park.  Serious business and more room for hiding eggs.  Brad went with him.  Because apparently Brad is way more bad ass than me.  Or boys like to stick together.  No pictures.  Because that's how those two roll.  But Preston found a lot of eggs too!

Going through their haul with Daddy.

I might have bribed them with candy to get them to smile for me!  But look how cute they look!

My people!

I think we're ready for Easter tomorrow now!
