A weekend away with my friends? Don't mind if I do!
Not going to lie I was a lot nervous about leaving Olivia. It was my first time away from her for more than just a few hours and I wasn't sure how she was going to do. I crossed my fingers, told myself it was just one night, gave her lots of kisses, and away we went.
Before we left at the bright hour of seven'o'clock in the morning time, we met for Starbucks! Essentials.
We stopped for a little bit of shopping. And to try on some hats. Thinking no. Ha!
After detouring around all of the traffic, we finally made it. I was loaded! Shopping time! Only it was really just everyone paying me back for the hotel.
Kelly made us all personalized travel wine glasses, so of course before heading out we had to enjoy some wine!
We walked over to Seattle Center.
And found Spiderman!
As well as Darth Vader and a stormtrooper!
Off to dinner. We weren't sure where to go and ended up trying a restaurant that we'd heard of. The food was good. The location less so. It was in the basement. But there were drinks and we were happy!
Next we wandered down to Pike Place!
Before taking the underground buses over to Pioneer Square and finding a bar to grab a drink in and hang out. The band was freaking hysterical. First they were warming up. Then they stopped. Hopped off stage. And disappeared. Only to come back in entirely new clothes and sunglasses. Ready to rock. We were dying!
We wandered a little more. Ended up at a dive bar for food because we were starving. Had some food and fun. I was used as a chair back by the drunk guy behind me. Good times! Before we walked back to the hotel. And got into trouble for being too loud. Sorry!
The next morning started with breakfast and getting dressed. And half of us packing up because we were heading home that evening.
Who doesn't like to start their day with an elevator selfie.
We walked over to have lunch on a patio. Drinks. Sunshine. Friends.
Since the only photo I took during lunch was of the crabs, we obviously had to stop and take some photos on the dock with the water in the background.
It was really such a beautiful day!
We hopped on the trolley to ride into downtown. Where I had us get off a stop or two or three too early. Ooops! I heard Westlake and hopped off!
But I hadn't we would have missed this photo op. Walking down the street, passing by this gem. Of course we had to stop and take a photo.
Then it was time to shop!
Before Kelly and I hopped in the car and headed home. Even the drive home was pretty.
It was so nice to get away with friends!
But I missed my babies!
