Playing In The Dirt

Preston has been asking and asking and asking to plant flowers in the front yard.  I'd been putting it off because it's still just too cold and I didn't want to plant them and have them freeze and die.  Finally it seemed like the warm was going to stay so I told Preston we could clean up the flower bed and then plant we'd be ready to plant some flowers.

Somehow Preston didn't end up helping me pull the weeds.  Not that I'm surprised.  He didn't like the dirt and it was hard and wanted to ride his bike and and and.  Let's be real pretty much anything was way more fun than pulling weeds with me.  Can't say I blame him since I don't love pulling the weeds either.

While Preston was looking for any reason not to have to help clean up the front flower bed, Olivia was looking for any reason to climb in and play in the dirt.

By the time Brad got home I was done pulling weeds and we were just playing in the dirt.

So we moved the party to the backyard to take advantage of my motivation to get some yard work done.  Never know when that might happen again!  HA!

Preston even helped in the back.  A little.  He more whined about having to pull weeds than actually pulled weeds.

I think Olivia might have been a little more helpful.

When she wasn't trying to empty the weeds we'd pulled out of the buckets.

Olivia definitely earned her bath tonight!

Game Two

Game two started a little rough for us.

Not the actual game part. Just everything leading up to it.

We had dropped my car off to get new tires and headed to my parents house to hang out. Plus my Mom had graciously offered to let us borrow her car while mine got everything done. Preston got busy playing with Mason and was not very cooperative when we were trying to get him dressed and ready for soccer. So we left late. And then got to the game late.

It had us all a little out of sorts.

Luckily Preston recovered fast!

The Green Machines played another great game!

Not that I was keeping score. But if I was, we killed them. We won eleven to two!

Preston had a goal/assist too! He was pretty dang excited!

Lack of pictures and the fact that these two are kind of crap is a result of me leaving my big girl camera at home. I'm telling you the whole morning was a little off for us.

This season is off to such an awesome start for the team!

Photos With My iPhone Week 46

Another week, more photos.

Monday...

She dropped something in the basket and had to retrieve it!
Got it!
All the kids love Monti!

Wednesday...

Hiding so she can get into things in peace.

Thursday...

Fun at JNP!

Friday...

That dang drawer!
Or maybe that dang baby.
Preston loves going out to play with the neighbors big boys.  They played Investigation Squad and he came back so stinkin' excited about it!

Until next week!

Bike Helmets

Every year a group in our area puts on an event for free helmets for kids. We've missed out in the past but this year we made it. Just barely. And Preston got one of the last helmets in his size. But we did it.

Best part? Preston got to decorate his helmet. Perfect timing since Preston has been super artsy lately!  He loved it!

Brad and I may have had a little bit of a struggle with our OCD over the whole thing but we got over it.

Besides Preston looked super cute in his helmet and I love everything about how he decorated it!

A Little Family Soccer

We're trying to enjoy the summer like weather around here, so after dinner we headed over to the school to play.

Preston brought his soccer ball so we put it to use!  What started as him just kicking it around somehow turned into a family game.  Without a whole lot of teams happening since Preston kept switching between playing on my team and Brad's team!

Even Olivia got in on the action.  Cutest little goalie I've ever seen.

We couldn't leave the school without stopping at the playground!

I am so excited for summer!
