Thoughts On Thursday

I'm tired. I think this whole time change thing is affecting me more than Preston and Olivia.

---------------

That's a lie. Olivia was a wreck tonight at six because she wanted to go to bed so bad. Poor baby.

---------------

The blog is a mess. I'm working on it.

---------------

I am so tired. Did I mention that already. It's making it hard for me to think. I had things to say and now I'm struggling to remember what they are.

---------------

A couple weeks ago, maybe even longer than that, I started pulling out Preston's baby clothes totes from the garage. And going through them to get rid of the clothes I didn't love. I figured I'd just keep my favorites and call it a day. I got half way through going through the totes and then I took a break. Now I've got a giant pile of little boy clothes sitting on the floor in my laundry room. Not the end result I was going for. I'm hoping to get myself to go through the rest of the totes this weekend and then start listing the clothes to get them out of my house!

---------------

After a ROUGH day with Preston on Tuesday, I ended up handing him two garbage bags and telling him to put all of the toys in his bedroom in them. I was over him not listening and just tired of fighting with him about everything.

It didn't go well. He was crying. And screaming, "I can't do this." While in fact doing it. And then hysterically telling me that he needed more bags. Good times.

Now I have to pull the bags out of Olivia's room and move them into the garage to store them until I see a major improvement in his attitude.

---------------

Honestly I feel like I punished myself too. I have to put them in the garage and then when I bring them back out we have to sort through them. We keep his legos and his trio blocks in his bedroom. All separated out from the other toys in baskets. When he packed everything up he just dumped them into garbage bags. I'm already dreading the whole thing.

---------------

After cleaning both of the bathrooms this week I want to make Brad and Preston sit down to pee. I mean SERIOUSLY!

---------------

Our furnace stopped working on Monday. It was awesome. Except it wasn't. It worked on and off during the day so I didn't fully realize it until Tuesday. So we had to call someone out to the house. Turns out it was just a loose wire. So he tightened it down. And somehow fried our thermostat. So that was fun. Even more fun when he told me that the ones he carries are majorly overpriced and not nearly as nice as the one we already had. In fact he suggested that I just have Brad switch it out and buy one at Home Depot because I could get more bang for my buck. Since Brad couldn't do it until Wednesday I figured we'd just stay at my parents house for the night. Until my Mom called to tell me my little sister wasn't feeling so great. So instead I went to Target and bought a space heater and we hung out at home. It wasn't ideal, but it worked. And it was just for one night.

The good news is that our thermostat is now wifi. Which should be pretty cool.

And also totally fits my tech obsessed husband.

The end.
