Preston Rides

Brad has been trying to convince Preston to learn to ride his bike without training wheels since last summer. Preston has been very adamant that he will learn later. Later. Later. Later.

Well it was finally later!

Brad and Preston headed outside and pulled the training wheels off his bike and got started.

Preston was a little nervous. Heck I was a little nervous.

I hung back and let my boys do their thing and just took pictures and tried to keep Olivia in the shade.

By the way holding the little miss with one hand and taking pictures with one hand with my good camera, it's work!

Preston got the hang of it so fast. I couldn't believe it. With how reluctant he had been to learn I thought it would take a while to teach him. It was the complete opposite. I'm thinking Preston knew just what he was doing in telling us he wanted to wait to learn!

Less than an hour after taking his training wheels off he was riding down the street and back. And not slow either!

He had Aunt Jen chasing after him!

Oh yes, Aunt Jen got twice the bang for her visit. She met Miss Olivia. And watched Preston learn to ride on two wheels!

He had a little bit of a hard time with turning so he liked riding up and down the street the most.  Riding straight also meant riding faster.  The boy has a need for speed!

But he got the hang of turning the more he tried!  Before long he was riding in circles around the culdesac.

Just like when he first learned to ride his bike he had a little bit of a hard time getting the bike going. He wants the pedals to be in a certain place when he gets going, not just wherever they ended up when he stopped last. But he got better and better the longer we were outside.

He did fall once. Brad had pulled his bike out to show Preston how you can move the pedals to get them to the starting position you want and how to start from any position. Plus I think he just wanted to ride too! And he's been wanting to ride with Preston on two wheels since Brad got his bike last summer! They rode to the end of our culdesac and Preston fell. I heard him start screaming. And I waited. Waited to see if it was more bark than bite. A few minutes later both my boys came riding back to our house. Preston was completely fine, not a scratch on him. And he got right back on his bike!

I'm so proud of my big boy!

I remember my Dad teaching me how to ride my bike on just two wheels (I was much older than Preston!) and I hope that this will be one of those moments that Preston remembers when he gets older!

Photos On My iPhone Weeks 1, 2, And 3

Every week I end up with all of these random photos that I took with my phone that I want to share.  And yet in the craziness of things I don't.  So I'll start sharing them week by week.  It should be fun!  Plus then I'll actually pull the photos off my phone every week!  Win win!

We've been busy taking pictures of Little Miss Liv since she came home.

Preston is not a fan of me taking his photo these days, so here's a lot of photos of Olivia, who doesn't seem to mind!  Ha!  And one of Preston busy playing and putting up with me asking him to please let me take a picture of him.

Week One...

Week Two...

Week Three...

Liv does a lot of sleeping.  Could you tell?  It's hard being brand new!

Isn't she just the cutest!

I can't believe how big she's getting already!

A Walk And Bike Ride

The family that walks and rides together stays together!

The boys rode. The girls walked. Well Olivia caught a ride from Mommy.

Preston found a puddle on the way home so of course he had to ride through it.

I love when it cools down in the evenings!

Olivia's Newborn Photos

I picked a newborn photographer when I was pregnant with Olivia so when she arrived all I had to do was call and set up our appointment.  I have to say I loved our photographer.  She was fantastic!  And did such a wonderful job!

Liv wasn't a huge fan of her session.  She did not like that every time she finally got comfortable and fell asleep it was time to rearrange for the next photo.  Poor girl just wanted to sleep.  She really made Kim, our photographer, work for it!

But the photos.  Oh the photos.  They turned out absolutely amazing.

Aren't they fabulous!

Olivia looks gorgeous in every single one of them!

I love that she is staring right at the camera in one of them!  Brad's favorites are the ones of her laying in the metal bucket with the pink and lace blankets and the flower arrangement on top of her head.  My favorites are the ones of her laying on the white blanket with the flower headband!  We both love them all!

The ones of her and Preston, I die at how adorable the two of them are!  My babies!

They were definitely worth it!
