Journey To The Northpole

A few years ago we took Preston on a journey to the North Pole to see Santa. It was awesome. He loved it. So we decided to do it every year. Only life and the craziness of the season got in the way and we didn't do it again.

Until this year.

This year I told myself no more excuses. There are only so many years of Christmas where it is magical and you believe in all of that magic. And we need to make the most of those years and soak up all the magic.

So we headed back to the North Pole!

While we waited for our boat and tried to stay warm in the cold, Preston said hello to Frosty! And snuggled up with Daddy!

Finally our boat arrived and we climbed inside to set sail!  And warm up.

Not that the warming up lasted long.  Preston wanted to head back outside to see the lights while we sailed away.  So we bundled back up and did just that!

Once the boat got going we all headed back inside to try to get warm again before we arrived at the North Pole.

It didn't last long as we were almost at the North Pole and it was time to head back out to see Santa!  And hear him read the names on the nice list and see if Preston had made the cut!

Preston's name made the nice list!  Hurray!  I'm sure it was touch and go there for a little bit!  Ha!

He loved all of it.  He was so serious about listening to what Santa had to say.  And had so many questions about the North Pole!  It was so worth the trip!

Plus the Christmas lights everywhere just added to the experience!

As the boat pulled away from the North Pole to head back home, Preston asked if we could go back inside.  That's how cold it was.  Preston is never willing to be inside when he can be outside!  So we did just that!  Back inside to try to get warm again!

Until we had almost arrived back at the docks.  Then we had to head back out to see the Grinch!

The Grinch was yelling about how he knew we were all on the naughty list and how he was going to take all of our presents!  And Preston just wasn't having it and yelled back, "You're not the boss of us!"  It was hysterical!

The whole night was just a blast!  So worth the trip!  We will definitely be doing it again next year!
