We had a laid back Mother's Day this year.
I started the morning off opening my gift and cards from Brad and Preston.
I love cards but this year Brad outdid himself in the gift department. I have been wanting to get my hands on a North Face jacket but unwilling to spend that much on something for me clothing wise. Brad knew this. So he did it himself! And completely shocked me! I love it!!
Then it was decided that we were going to need some donuts. And by we I meant me.
Only problem, apparently none of the two donut shops around these parts are open on Sunday.
What is that? I mean seriously!
We ended up at Albertsons grabbing donuts. Not as good but we managed.
After getting dressed we headed to a park on the river with my brother, his girl friend, one of my little sisters, and her friend to play and explore.
When I was little we lived close to this park and were here a lot. I remember it being so much bigger back then! Am I the only one who feels this way about some things from their childhood? I remember spending hours exploring here and now I can't imagine how. I don't know if the park is actually smaller because there are more homes around it or if I am just bigger so it doesn't seem as big.
Preston loved it though.
Give him water and he is good to go! Doesn't matter how cold it is!
We let him and Marrissa and Kasey splash around for a while before it was time to take off!
The river makes me a little nervous. I much prefer a lake with Preston. Seems so much safer. Plus I almost drowned here when I was little. True story!
On the way out, my brother found a snake so him and Brad and Preston chased it down to check it out.
Us girls not so much.
I was completely out of my comfort zone taking these pictures!
We ended the night at a local pizza place with my family. A little bit like Chuck E Cheese but not as hard core. And they have a ball pit so the boys were completely entertained. If the pizza wasn't so dang expensive this would be a much better deal! But the pizza is crazy expensive and wasn't even all that good tonight.
But the boys loved the ball pit!
Happy Mother's Day to all the fantastic Mommys that I know!
