We went to the jumping place with my Mom and Mason to burn off some little boy energy.

Preston is all over the place when we go here. He loves all of the bounce houses and slides and obstacle courses. Mason was a little bit more nervous when we first got there but he warmed up pretty quick.

Soon the boys were all over the place.

And burn off some energy they did.

Preston even found the energy to take a photo with his Mommy.

By the time we left everyone was exhausted, mission accomplished.

Wisely Worded Wednesday

Preston loves Kaylee, Matt's girlfriend, so much that if he were older he's probably give my brother a run for his money!

Say What Preston?!

Preston: (Holding one of his old books) Who did this?

Me: "You did when you were little."

Preston: "Mama! You're supposed to put things up high so I couldn't get them when I was little!"

Me: "She kissed him!"

Preston: "Yeah. Cuz her loves him."

I was having a hard time installing Mason's car seat into my sister's car and told her I couldn't get it tight enough and Preston announced...

"How will we make sure Mason is safe then?!"

For the record I did get it tight enough.

"If you're happy and you know it...cuddle!"

Preston: "Mommy I don't like it when you copy me."

Me: "Why?"

Preston: "Cuz. If you do it one more time I will cry."

Me: "Okay."

Preston: "Do you want me to cry?"

Me: "No."

Preston: "That's what I thought."

As the Audi was driving away after we sold it...

Me: "Why can't we get rid of it?"

Preston: "Cuz I want it."

Me: "You want it?"

Preston: "Yes! For my car when I get older!"

Me: "What if we get you a different car?"

Preston: "I'll sell it! That's the only car I like!"

Poor kid. Even if we hadn't gotten rid of it his first car was NOT going to be an Audi S4.

"Well well well, what do we have here?"

Family Weekend In Coulee

We headed up to Coulee to visit some family!

Brad's Grandma Geneva was first on our list of people to see. We've been meaning to get up there to see her since December. And life and its craziness just kept getting in the way it seemed like.

We met Jen and Madison there and took over Geneva's house for an hour or so before we wore her out!

We opted to stay at these cute little houses in a resort nearby for the weekend.

But first there was Mexican food. And a trip to the Safeway for food and drinks and necessities before we settled in for the night.

Or rather didn't. Me and Jen were up until 3am talking and laughing and crying and drinking! This is what happens when one of your favorite friends lives five hours away and you get to see them in person!

The next morning was rough! And not just because I was exhausted. We attempted to make breakfast only we were lacking a lot of things. Like salt or pepper or any sort of a spice. And when you want to make hash-browns or eggs, you want some flavor in them. It was bad. Seriously bad. I'm not even sure any of it was edible.

Luckily Preston was content with his poptart and yogurt breakfast. And with playing in the kitchen sink.

Preston was incredibly excited about being so close to the Grand Coulee Dam and insisted that we had to go see it. So we did! He was so excited, my little water baby!

After visiting the dam we headed out to the farm to spend the afternoon with Brad's grandparents.

When we first got out there Miss Madison was sleeping so instead of heading right in we explored a little bit. Or rather Jen and Brad showed us around a little bit. Preston is such a boy in that he loves the farm and seeing all of it.

Then we headed inside for some visiting.

Poor Madison hadn't received most of her Christmas presents until that weekend since they'd been sitting at Gigi's house until we brought them with us for an exchange that weekend. She got to open one of them up while we were there and I swear this little niece of mine was born a princess! I mean seriously check her out in her crown and jewels and heels!

Before we left I made everyone take a bunch of pictures with Grandpa and Grandma! For some reason we don't do this often enough! Madison wasn't so sure about it but toughed it out. And Preston had to be promised candy. But hey we got the job done!

We stopped after we left Grandpa and Grandma's house to visit Brad and Jen's Dad's grave. Brad hadn't been there in years and I had never been there. He was buried only a few miles from where the farm is located so it's more than a little off the beaten path an not quite the typical cemetery.

We were starving and exhausted by the time we headed back into town. So we headed over to Big Wally's for an early dinner. It was so freaking good. I don't know why I love this place so much but it is one of my favorite parts about visiting Coulee.

Somehow Preston still had energy left when we got back to where we were staying. I on the other hand was ready to crawl into bed and sleep for hours, that could have had something to do with  being up until 3am. But not him. Preston was racing up and down the hill and all around. Luckily for him, Aunt Jen and Madison both had some energy and raced around with him for a little bit while I supervised.

Brad and Jen's little sister, Caelan, met us back at our house to hang out for a couple of hours.

When we woke up Sunday it was time to pack to head home. After the cars were all loaded up we took a walk around the resort we had stayed at and checked things out. There was a lot to do and we realized if the expense wasn't so high in the peak season we would love to come back when everything was up and running for Summer.

Then we all got on the road after a final lunch at Wally's. We couldn't leave without eating there one more time. So there were hugs and promises to see each other in a little over a week when me and Preston were heading over to Seattle to visit Jen and Madison during Spring Break and to stay over for Easter with Brad flying in for the weekend. It was a fantastic weekend that flew by much too fast.

Say What Preston?!

Grandma Pitts: "What do you want to be when you get older?"

Preston: "Family!"

Grandma Pitts: "What about...(lists random things little boys typically want to be)?"

Preston: "No!! I want to be four and a half forever! I don't want to get big!!"

Cutest thing ever.

Say What Preston?!

Preston: "Where do shark live?"

Me: "In the ocean."

Preston: "Why?"

Me: "They live in salt water."

Preston: "But why?"

Brad: "Because salt water in more buoyant than fresh water. But not all sharks live in..."

Me: "SHHHHHHHH!" (Trying to keep Preston, who is too much like me, from freaking out about where else sharks can live.)

We got on to talk about how sharks don't live in lakes. And how sharks need salt water for lots of reasons. And that sharks live in the oceans because that is where God decided they would live.

Preston: "So if I put salt in water God will make sharks appear?"

And then I died of the adorableness of the question!

Special Kid Week!

It's Preston's Special Kid Week at preschool!

He is so darn excited!

Being the Special Kid means that he gets to wear a special star necklace, be the line leader, put up the date and weather stickers, and you get to bring in a question and answers sheet and a sheet with photos!

Look at my son. Of course this is the only photo I have of him wearing his star. And he looks absolutely hilarious.

I think Preston was most excited about being the line leader for the week.

What can I say he likes to be in charge. He's bossy by nature.

Although getting to mess with the calendar was a close second.

Want to see his super cute photo poster?  Okay, twist my arm!

And his questions and answers sheet.

It asks a couple of simple questions and I let Preston answer them.

"I am 4.5 years old."

"I like to eat macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, pop tarts, raisins, french fries, and bagels."

"Meet my family...Mommy, Daddy, my kitty Monti, and ME!"

"My favorite toy is robots made out of trio blocks, helicopters, and my stuffed kitty cats."

Something tells me when his week is over he's going to be suffering from some withdrawals!

Thoughts On Thursday

We sold Brad's car!! Hurray!!

Really the car basically sold itself.

We'd been talking about selling it for a couple of years. And I mentioned it to my brother's friend who asked if I was serious. And I said I was. And then he told us he wanted to buy it! He came over and looked at it. Me and Brad took it down to emissions and had it licensed and the oil changed while Preston was at preschool. The very next day Curtis took his test drive on the way to the bank for his loan. Then it was all said and done.

Minus a few little details here and there.

Good-bye Audi...I wish I could say I'd miss you. But I won't. Brad will though, but he seems to be getting over it. Plus since my brother's friend bought it it's kind of like he has visitation rights. Ha!

We signed up for Netflix. I'm not sure if it was the greatest idea ever or the worst. Me, Brad, and Preston are all addicted! Even Preston is saying that he wants to watching something on Netflix!

Speaking of Netflix, I am hooked on One Tree Hill. I used to watch it when it first came out. Back when I was in high school. I only watched like one season back then. Now I'm at the end of season four and completely addicted. It's a bit ridiculous. And so good in an overly dramatic way, right up my alley kind of way.

I should be packing right now. But I'm not.

I went and played BINGO earlier this week with friends. It was so much fun!! SO MUCH! And very intense. Who knew? We were definitely the youngest ones there. And even got in trouble with some of the older people for laughing a little too loudly! Ooops!

And oh yeah, there was the added bonus where I won $200 by the end of the night!! Score!!

I'm very behind on blogging. I know it. Not that it should come as any sort of a surprise. I'm always a little late, it's kind of my thing.

Hunger Games comes out tonight at midnight. I wish I was there!! Me and Brad are going to be going soon!!

At this point, I really should be packing. Or cleaning. Or doing laundry. Or putting said laundry away. Maybe I should get started on that.

Preschool Best Buddies

Preston and his best buddy from preschool, Cohen. These two have a little bromance going on. They play together and have to sit next to each other. It is so stinkin' cute!

Also check out Preston's "smile". That was what I got every time I asked him to smile almost all day. Fabulous right?

The Teddy Bear Parade

Preston's preschool class had a teddy bear parade. All of the kids got to bring their favorite teddy bear to school for it. Preston of course brought a kitty cat because he doesn't do teddy bears. The kids also each brought a shoe box to decorate as a float for their teddy bears kitty cats to ride in.

Preston was the line leader that week so he got to lead the parade. He took it very seriously. As evidenced by the fact that he refused to smile at me for a picture during the parade.

And even after when I asked him to smile, this was what I got. I don't even know what he was doing. But every single time I asked him to smile, he gave me this one. Ha!

Even with all of the serious looks, Preston had a blast during the parade with his kitty cat.
