This And That

I'm feeling a little bit random today. So many thoughts running through my head, interested?

I'm having an ugly day. Yes you read that right. One of those days where no matter what I do, I am still just going to feel ugly. It's a good thing that I don't have to go anywhere today. Am I the only one who has days like this?

I just finished the Dexter season finale and I think it's safe to say I hated it. In a can't way to see what happens next season kind of way. But really I was so disappointed with how they ended it. I won't give anything away, but I may have cried a little bit.

Preston counted to ten today! We were reading a numbers book and doing some counting when Preston just busted a move. I was so impressed! So impressed that we made some phone calls so that Preston could count for everyone else too. He did some counting for Grandma, Aunt Jessie, and Grandpa. Then Aunt Jessie called back so that some of her co-workers could hear too. Nothing like boosting Preston's ego a million times over. There was lots of cheering! My little boy is growing up. I know I've said that a bazillion times, but seriously he is.

Brad had to work this weekend on Saturday. It really sucked having him gone for the day. Especially since he missed Preston's SoccerTots. And there's talk that he'll be working next Saturday too. Next Saturday is Preston's last SoccerTots and I hate that Brad might miss it. On the positive side, all this Satuday work is overtime with overtime pay. That dosn't suck. I am trying very hard not to complain because there are so many people out there who would be grateful to be able to work on Saturdays. The fact that my husband has a job that is not only keeping him working full time but also requiring overtime makes me feel very blessed.

My laptop has been on the fritz lately. As in this weekend alone it's blue-screened about four times and over worked itself another handful of times that caused my screen to malfuntion and shoot random lines and colors all over the place. It's been fabulous. When you add in that my wireless internet stopped working last night you might come up with me and how irritated I'm feeling. I hate waiting for the damn thing to just break so that I can bring it in and have it fixed. Lucky for me it keeps pulling all of this crap and then turns back on like nothing happened. Or like today the internet all of a sudden just works. Great!

Adding to my irritation with my crappy laptop is that my friend Courtney just blogged about her brand spanking new netbook! I am so jealous! I wonder if she'll let me come over just so I can see what a working laptop is like? I hope you're enjoying your early birthday present Courtney, your husband is pretty fabulous right now in my book!

I was going to make Christmas cookies today, but that didn't happen. Probably because that would have meant doing something productive today. And that definitely didn't happen. Looks like I'm going to have to do that later this week. Along with the gingerbread train that me and Preston are going to be putting together too. I don't think I've ever put a gingerbread anything together so I'm feeling pretty excited!

Look for Santa pictures coming to a blog near you soon! They will more than likely include a screaming two year old. What can I say I'm dedicated to my cause.
