A Trip Away

Brad received notice last week that he would be sent over to Richland this week for work. So he asked me if Preston and I wanted to tag along. I thought about it for all of five seconds before answering YES!! Hmmm...no cooking, no cleaning, and they have a pool?? That was a tough choice. Plus it's like an all expenses paid trip. He's working in the Hampton Inn so they comped him a room, and upgraded it to a mini-suite when he told them his wife and son would be joining him!! Yay!! And then KTU gave him a check for food and the amount that they gave him will not only cover his food budget while we are here, but also mine and Preston's!! Now Preston and I just have to entertain ourselves. I am so excited to have gotten out of town, especially since there is NO snow here. Although I do miss my friends very much!! Yes that means you, you, you, you, wait not so much you!! :P

The bad part about getting out of Spokane, I was completely unprepared even though I'd known for a week. I didn't pack on Sunday like I planned because instead I went to the movies. I know, how unresponsible of me but you have to live a little people. Then Preston decided to wake up at 7am instead of his usual 9am. And that meant that he decided to go back to sleep at 10am and not wake back up until 12:30-1:00pm. This matters because I'd planned on cleaning up and packing in the morning and then leaving at naptime. Then an old friend stopped by our house and I spent much longer than I'd anticipated sitting on the couch catching up, still not packing!! Although I must say it was great to catch up with her, I haven't seen her since I was very first pregnant with Preston. And when I finally decide to start packing, Preston becomes a cling on making it take at least twice as long as it should have. And to add insult to injury, I left our bathroom bag sitting fully packed on the bathroom counter at home. So I don't have any shampoos, conditioners, lotions, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, vitamins, flouride, hair product, soap, razors; pretty much everything that you would find in a bathroom is still sitting at home in mine. As well as leaving my bathing suit and Brad's replacement cell phone. Talk about being unprepared. I had to run out and replace everything this morning except Brad's cell phone which I refuse to replace since he has a back-up one sitting at home and his still kind of works.
